Danielle Kunkel (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer currently pursuing a BFA in General Fine Arts at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) along with minors in Graphic Design and Sustainability & Social Practices. Most of her work focuses on shining light on environmental issues, such as climate change and biodiversity loss, and actions that can be done to mitigate them. She does this by combining media together and using graphic design as a way to support what cannot be stated through fine art alone. Her current series, Bye Bye Birdies, does this with an emphasis on birds and the threats they face. Danielle strives to continue these themes after graduation in her personal work and careers to help ensure a better world for all life on Earth.
